Austrian Audio’s innovative Swivel Joint mechanism is a lifesaver when working with cramped mic setups — no more endless re-positioning of your stands! The microphone basket is suspended in place, allowing a 220-degree range of rotation that makes everything from minute adjustments to complete repositioning a breeze.
This system’s ability to save time by significantly streamlining the process of finding your source’s sweet spot is indispensable, especially since it all but removes the headache of remounting mics and adjusting stands.
Dynamic power meets condenser flexibility
The OD5’s Active-dynamic circuit empowers this mic with a condenser-like clarity and sensitivity, but it also allows the OD5 to harness the power of built-in pads and filters! No matter how loud your source, the OD5’s -10dB pad will keep your signal clip-free, boasting a max SPL of >160dB when engaged. Plus, the OD5’s CAB (Cut and Boost) filter offers two positions — the 80Hz setting removes unnecessary low frequencies, making it a great choice for sources like guitar amplifiers. Meanwhile, the second position at 120Hz is a versatile second order highpass filter.
