The Nowsonic Switcher is a passive volume and monitoring controller. Connect any audio source like the stereo output of a mixer, audio interface, notebook, computer, DVD-Player or Synthesizer and set its level to a connected monitoring system like our Nowsonic RadioCheck. The multifunctional Switcher has a completely passive design, meaning that the sound of the input signal is not colored or distorted by any active electronic component. In fact the output signal is 100% identical to the input signal with the added ability to attenuate the volume level. Precisely control and set the perfect monitoring volume level in your control or editing room directly from your listening position. The beginning of a perfect mixdown is an initial correct monitoring level and listening position!
The Switcher provides all connections needed to cover the demands of various applications – from home studio and video post-production up to broadcast and professional recording studios. Balanced XLR combo inputs on the rear let you easily plug in any pro or consumer level audio source.
Two distinct pairs of XLR and 1/4″ TRS jacks are available as outputs. Comfortably switch between both pairs of monitor speakers by a simple press of the A/B switch button e.g. to compare how your mix sounds on different speakers. The big shiny silver main volume knob also serves as a mute button for all outputs. The Switcher´s die cast construction contributes solid durability, while it´s sleek, elegant white finish looks great on any desk, table or console.
